Elements of mounts for Jerry Cans

Mounting hole diameter

For expedition jerrycans you can choose and buy bases with a central hole for the M8 bolt — art. 36-00-004 and М10 — art. 36-00-024, 36-00-014 and holes for mounting M6-M8.

Number of mounting holes

Canister mounting pads differ in the number of mounting holes. The base plate of the fasteners numbered 36-00-004 has two through-holes for flat mounting. The pads numbered 36-00-024 and 36-00-004 have six holes for the most secure fit.

Thickness

The canister mounts differ in thickness. Fastening pads numbered 36-00-024, 36-00-014 have a thickness of 10 mm and can additionally be used as an intermediate lock when fastening two canisters. The fixing underlay numbered 36-00-004 is only 20mm thick.

Design

The mounting pad, reference number 36-00-004, is designed with a central recess for inserting the base 36-00-010 and is often purchased with this base. Fastener underlays under the numbers. 36-00-024, 36-00-014 can be used as an independent canister fastening element.

Fastening elements for all types of expedition canisters

For fixing Extreme canisters (XTR-COMBI, XTR-DR, XTR-PL), Rotopax, GKA, GKA Send Truck, ART-RIDER, POLARIS, other flat expedition canisters, you can buy additional elements of a safety fastening «T-clamp» — base fasteners numbered 36-00-0011, the middle part of the fastener 36-00-0022.

Spacer for mounting canisters

Often, when installing the canister, it becomes necessary to raise the attachment point to align the working surface of the attachment. For example, the surface of the trunk of a snowmobile, motorcycle may not be even, have small protrusions or depressions. In this case, when installing, we recommend using the round platform 56-01-134 to level the canister fastening level.

The platform is made of high-strength monolithic polycarbonate with a thickness of 3 mm, 4 mm, high-strength, resistant to mechanical influences (according to an individual order, it is possible to manufacture a platform with a greater thickness). If necessary, it is possible to use several platforms / spacers to achieve the required height.

Round platform 56-01-134 is a universal product, it can be used as a spacer in conjunction with all models of canister mounts manufactured by Polyurethan LLC.

Metalware

For the installation of canister mounts in the Metalware category, it is possible to select and buy the necessary fasteners – bolts, threads, nuts, washers, self-tapping screws. We recommend using stainless steel fasteners for attaching canisters to the outside of the vehicle.
